One of the best places I visited in Tehran was the Grand Bazaar. It’s not just a market, it’s like a whole world inside the city! I had heard a lot about it before, but nothing prepared me for how exciting it was to be there.I went to the bazaar early in the morning because I knew it would get crowded later. Even then, it was busy, but I didn’t mind.

The bazaar is full of shops selling all kinds of things: colorful fabrics, shiny jewelry, Persian carpets, and sweet-smelling spices. It felt like there was something new and interesting to see in every corner. The first thing that amazed me was the architecture.

The ceilings were tall and arched, made of beautiful bricks. There were small windows letting in natural light, which made the bazaar feel warm and inviting. It was hard to believe that this place has been here for so many years and is still so full of life.I stopped at a shop that sold Persian carpets. The owner was very kind and showed me different carpets, explaining how each one was handmade.

The designs were so detailed, and the colors were so bright, it felt like each carpet had a story to tell.As I walked further, I smelled something delicious—it was food! I found a small stall selling kebabs wrapped in flatbread. It was so tasty and gave me energy to keep exploring. There were also other stalls selling sweets like baklava and saffron candies, which I had to try!

What I loved most about the bazaar was how lively it was. People were talking, laughing, and bargaining with the shopkeepers. The sounds of the bazaar made it feel like a place full of energy and excitement.I also saw a teahouse where people were sitting and enjoying cups of warm Persian tea. I decided to take a break and join them.

It was a relaxing moment, and everyone was so friendly. Before I left, I bought a few souvenirs—a small rug, some spices, and a box of saffron to remember my visit. Walking out of the bazaar, the streets around it were still full of people and vendors selling more things. The Grand Bazaar in Tehran is not just a place to shop—it’s a place full of history, culture, and energy. I loved walking through its streets, and it felt like I was part of the city’s heartbeat.

If you ever go to Tehran, make sure to visit the Grand Bazaar. It’s a fun and exciting experience that you’ll always remember!
